  • Identify discrepancies between construction plans and actual field conditions before installation.
  • Recognize potential utility conflicts and coordinate appropriate solutions to prevent rework and delays.
  • Verify the accuracy of utility layouts and installations without relying solely on outside survey crews.
  • Oversee trench excavation, bedding, pipe installation, backfilling, and compaction operations.
  • Ensure proper installation of manholes, valves, fire hydrants, fittings, cleanouts, inlets, junction boxes, and other utility structures.

  • Schedule and coordinate required inspections to prevent unnecessary project delays.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable municipal requirements and approved construction documents.
  • Address inspection deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions when necessary.

Production Management & Cost Control:

  • Promptly communicate potential change orders, additional work, and unforeseen conditions to management.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports documenting manpower, equipment, materials, installed quantities, and production activities.
  • Understand the importance of completing projects within established budgets and schedules.
  • Take responsibility for the overall productivity, efficiency, and financial performance of assigned field operations.

Project Coordination & Scheduling:
  • Develop daily and weekly construction plans based on project priorities and deadlines.
  • Coordinate equipment, manpower, materials, and subcontractors to maintain continuous production.
  • Review upcoming construction activities and identify potential conflicts before they affect the schedule.
  • Coordinate with superintendents and project managers to achieve construction milestones.
