AR Utilities & Excavation

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Install underground water, sewer, storm drainage, and fire protection piping.
• Assist with laying, aligning, and connecting PVC, ductile iron, HDPE, and concrete pipe.
• Install fittings, valves, fire hydrants, manholes, and other utility structures.
• Prepare trenches and install pipe bedding materials.
• Use pipe lasers, levels, and grade rods to maintain proper pipe grades and elevations.
• Assist with backfilling, compaction, and general construction activities.
• Work alongside equipment operators and other crew members to maintain daily production.
• Follow company safety policies and excavation safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous pipe-laying or underground utility construction experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of pipe installation, grades, and elevations.
• Experience using hand tools and construction equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to designated jobsites.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
